Located on-site at our Gold Coast clinic is Focus on Women - a team of three physiotherapists specialising in women's physiotherapy.

How we started

In 1996, Michelle and Jenny used their extensive women's health expertise to establish Focus on Women Physiotherapy as a specialist, private practice based on the Gold Coast. They are passionate about the impact physiotherapy intervention can have on a woman's life. Their time in private practice has

coincided with exciting developments in the clinical research of women's health issues, and they excel at delivering a contemporary, high-quality, professional service to their clients. Working closely with their medical colleagues, Focus on Women Physiotherapy has expertise in a broad spectrum of women's health issues:

Pelvic floor problems

• management of incontinence
• waterworks problems (urgency & frequency)
• pre and post operative exercise education
• treatment of pelvic pain

Individual ante and post-natal assessment

• pelvic floor muscle function
• general exercise regimes
• treatment of muscle and joint dysfunction
• postural re-education
• management of breast mastitis

Musculoskeletal assessment and treatment

Breast Surgery

Lymphoedema
