
Raised and educated in Brisbane, Dr Swift graduated in Medicine from the University of Queensland in 1988 and commenced specialist training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in 1994, obtaining the FRANZCOG qualification in 1999.
Clinical rotations included the Gold Coast, Royal Women's and Mater Mothers' Hospitals as well as North Queensland, Lautoka (Fiji) and the Western Queensland Flying O&G service.
Prior to commencing private practice on the Gold Coast in 1999, Dr Swift undertook highly specialised training in Gynaecological Endoscopic Surgery, Endometriosis and Infertility at the Mercy Hospital for Women in Melbourne.
Dr Swift was a founding partner of Fertility Gold Coast which has since become part of Queensland Fertility Group. His practice includes gynaecology and fertility treatment including IVF.
Dr Swift specialises in laparoscopic surgical techniques for hysterectomy, benign ovarian and tubal disease, prolapse and endometriosis.
An active member of the Australian Gynaecological Endoscopy Society, Dr Swift is currently studying for his Masters of Reproductive Medicine through the University of NSW.
In February 2010, Dr Swift celebrated 10 years in private practice.
Dr Swft is married with two children. He enjoys golf, football (AFL, Rugby Union and NRL), motorsport, travelling, snow skiing and boating.
