Dr Lee migrated to Australia with her family from Hong Kong at the age of 7. She completed her schooling in Brisbane and graduated from medicine from University of Queensland in 1991. She trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in various hospitals in Queensland including Gold Coast; Mater Mothers'; QEII; Logan and Caboolture. Her final years of Obstetrics & Gynaecology training were completed in King Edward Hospital, Perth. There she gained skills in advanced laparoscopic surgery and artificial reproductive technology (ART).

After her fellowship training Dr Lee continued working in King Edward Hospital as a Visiting Medical Officer and began private practice. In the areas of ART she worked in Fertility West (with Dr Anne Jequier) and Concept Fertility Centre. She returned to the Gold Coast in 2005 to be closer to her family and commence private practice.

Her practice comprises mainly of general Obstetrics and Gynaecology and her special interests include laparoscopic surgery, ART and stress incontinence surgery.

Dr Lee speaks fluent Cantonese.
